Check out a vineyard that obtains its power 100% by renewable energy, a large-scale project that turns food waste into power and a wind farm that powers hundreds of homes.

One of the best things about these 3 strategies exists in the fact that they all make monetary sense as well as ecological sense. I believe the ability to show a high level of fiscal responsibility along with environmental responsibility will become essential to creating lasting solutions.

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) insists that organizations, especially (but not only) corporations, have an obligation to consider the interests of customers, employees, shareholders, communities, and ecological considerations in all aspects of their operations.

This obligation extends beyond their statutory obligation to comply with legislation.

CSR, closely linked with the principles of Sustainable Development, argues that enterprises should make decisions based not only on financial factors such as profits or dividends, but also based on the immediate and long-term social and environmental consequences of their activities.

The time for this idea has arrived.

Those who wish to believe that corporations do not have such responsibilities ignore the fact that corporations exist only with a legal definition establishing them as individual entities. The same laws that grant this status also acknowledge the legal status of people as individual entities. All such defined individual entities possess rights.

With these rights come responsibilities.

The responsibilities of people have become enshrined in law. No good reason exists to exempt corporations that are established and recognized under the same body of laws. Laws regarding the enforcement of corporate responsibilities will become necessary if the corporations themselves do not step up and do the right thing.

We the People will demand additional legislation to force compliance with CSR guidelines if necessary. The need for CSR becomes more evident every day. Soon social and environmental abuses will no longer be tolerated for the profit of minority.

The strategies demonstrated in this video prove that CSR does not need to conflict with corporate profits. In fact, thoughtful and considerate application of CSR has the ability to actually improve corporate profits.

Profitable revenue growth can go hand in hand with CSR.

This has become a demonstratable fact. I hope this video has given you food for thought. The United States of America will maintain a global leadership position only as long it embraces the future.

If We the People insist upon it, it will happen.
