Hello! My name is Nathan Atkins and I am a musician. I recently found Willie Nelson’s Peaceful Solution Contest on the web and thought

What a great idea!

Here is a perfect way to spread the word that there could be a peaceful world if we all worked together. I haven’t really been involved with working for peace very long but I do believe that music is a way to help promote peace.

Using song to deliver a message is not a new idea. Musicians have been doing it for years. During the Vietnam era many musicians used song to help influence the way people thought about the war.

Who hasn’t heard John Lennon sing “Give Peace A Chance”. That’s all we are asking.

Just give peace a chance!

So many people look up to musicians and listen to what they say. I believe that if we give people a positive message through song that they will listen and truly understand that it is possible to have a peaceful solution.

Musicians who give back to the people who make them famous have always been my heroes. I think Willie Nelson did a very generous thing giving his song to the world. Not only is he giving back to the people, he is trying to make the world a better place.

To me that makes Willie a hero!

I hope other artist will follow my suit and record their own version of A Peaceful Solution and help promote a peaceful world.

Through the power of music we can make a difference!

Now Willie Nelson offers another opportunity. Take the lyrics and rewrite them to address and expand your vision to create peace in our world. You don’t have to sing or do a video just redo the lyrics and we will still feature you.
