Take Back America: I Still Believe

Chuck Kluesner made this first movie using the Tripplers version of Willie’s “A Peaceful Solution“with a soundtrack he made that includes excerpts of speeches from JFK, MLK Jr., and Noam Chomsky.

“Charles, who coined the term FlashPoetry is really doing something unique. I have spoken to him personally, and fully support his project. His heart is in the right place. Innovative efforts like his are giving poetry another rich outlet to connect people with greater human understanding.” Bryant H. McGill

Chuck Kluesner has made over 60 FlashPoetry movies about peace, war, and items of human interest featuring poetry and music in a flash file format from a wide array of sources.

Chuck’s other website explores the intergration of poetry and music into a video file format.

Take Back America: Even After 9-11, I Still Believe

The second 5:00 minute movie is made up of two parts: the first deals with the pain inflicted from the attacks of 9-11.

A soundtrack created from excerpts of wav files made during the attack fills the music by Justin R. Durban and builds viewers to an inspirational segment of an anti-war speech made by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., a speech that still holds great significance today.

A poem by Maya Angelou “These Yet to be United States” is arranged in a soundtrack of historical voices to the music of the Tripplers, which sets the tone for the second and final scene of this movie.

An excerpt from a Noam Chomsky lecture adds legitimacy to the idea that we have to relearn (or unlearn) a lot about the way we do things as a country and a society.

No more war.
