Hear ”A Peaceful Solution” by Dan Scanlan
Dan Scanlan embodies an excellent example for all of us to follow if we want to create A Peaceful Solution. Dan demonstrates a serious yet light demeanor. Yes, stopping a war and creating peace has ominous serious tones but Dan maintains a sense of humor all the way.
We’re running a marathon not a sprint.
If you want to actualize peace prepare for the long haul. Take a hint from Dan and learn to pace yourself. What good will you do anyone if you burn out before the peaceful solution becomes a reality?
Shooting stars offer inspiration. Galaxies endure.
One can learn from athletes as well. They don’t continually put out without periods of rest and rejuvenation. We need to develop endurance as we move relentlessly forward. Yes, give all you can and then pull back to relax and rejuvenate.
Pace yourself.
If one wants a peaceful joyful world one needs to embody peace and joy. That’s why Dan offers a brilliant example to all of us. He tirelessly devotes himself to peace, keeps connections alive and a joke in his heart. Always willing to share his spirit with everyone he touches, love sustains him. Music, laughter and dance surround him.
Choose to solve situations with love and a song in your heart.
Dan’s music mirrors his jovial personality. The lightness and ephemeral touch of the uke lifts our spirits to dance. His vocals energize us to go out and have fun making peace. Dan acts from his wonderfully generous heart. He produces music and shares. He doesn’t hold back.
Breathe and relax.
His song conjures images in me akin to a flashback. Dan’s version of A Peaceful Solution conveys a feeling that this historical event has already occurred. The Celtic bard returns from the future to usher in a new era of peace and love through the oral tradition of song.
Remember the victory.
His light and easy acoustic sounds gently wake us. Dan makes no apologies for his style of music and playfully invites you to create your own messages of peace. He shows you how to be a creative person. Don’t hold back just do it.
Let yourself go.
Dan’s music bridges any gaps in generations and ignores class distinctions because he portrays a real human being without pretense. If you make a choice to like him for himself, you give yourself permission to embody your true self. This choice goes a long way to actualize A Peaceful Solution.
Darkness does not bring light only light dispels darkness.
Angry people, stressed people, fearful people cannot create a balanced healthy peaceful world. We can all take lessons from Dan. Lighten up and keep a song in your heart and a joke on your lips. Smiling, laughing, singing and dancing all the way to a world of peace and joy.
You deserve to feel good.
Celebrate the vision of peace. Don’t get caught up in the cesspool of negativity. Yes, educate yourself. But don’t allow this education to drag you into the pits of depression and anger.
See the atrocity. Don’t become the atrocity.
Keep cool, calm and unperturbed like Mr. Natural who says, “Be like two fried eggs. Keep your sunny side up”. I think Dan might be sitting on my shoulder as I write this.
LISTEN TO Dan’s song now and kick up your heels.
