It is quite easy to be warm and friendly with someone who treats us kindly. The challenge comes when we receive negative attitudes from an emotionally disturbed person. If we respond at the same negative vibrational level we will keep the cycle going. This vicious cycle will repeat until someone steps out of the action-reaction phase and offers a higher vibrational frequency. Love diffuses hostile situations.
