Yusuf Islam formerly known as, Cat Stevens, is one example of the great diversity among Muslim people. The majority of Islamic people practice their religion of Peace and Love. Most Muslims are not at war with the United States.

Islamic culture introduced to Europe so much of what we take for granted today such as astronomy, mathematics, philosophy, science, medicine and education. European culture and the world owe an enormous debt to Islamic culture.

Europe might never have come out of the Dark Ages or at least not for several hundred years later if not for the infusion of Islamic culture. This infusion by Islam was the inspiration that began the Renaissance.

We are proud to say we are cultured people who possess advanced technology. But is killing other human beings and destroying other cultures truly being a cultured person? The majority of people in the United States are Christian. Jesus never said to kill. He said Love thy Neighbor as Thyself.

When will all the people who claim to be devout practitioners of a religious faith start following the true message of their religions and spread Peace and Love to the world? Only then will we have the right to call ourselves a cultured civilization.
