Mike Scott sings “Our babies are all dying…Moms at home crying“, and “We got politicians lying” in the lyrics he adds to his performance of “A Peaceful Solution.” Mike Scott makes it a point to express widely held ideas rarely expressed in mainstream media.
One would think that during an election year a legitimate voice of the people would make itself heard instead of empty sound bites from politicians and pundits. Strangely absent are public discussions about the realities of the current circumstances.
The public discussion about the financial collapse seems centered around the sub-prime mortgage crisis as if it can be blamed for the destruction of the American way of life. The reality concerns fraudulent scams creatively called “credit default swaps” and “derivatives” created out of thin air and sold as investments.
Missing from mainstream media is an examination of the gang of swindlers who profited hugely by running disguised gambling schemes and now profit again as they are bailed out by our tax monies. Missing is the public examination of a financial system run into the ground by the same people who continue to run the American economy to this day.
For those who may be interested in how we got here and where we might be going I suggest you read Death of the American Empire by Tanya Cariina Hsu. Most ironic is the conclusion that “The very markets that resisted US economic policies the most, having curbed foreign direct investments into America, are those who will fare best and come out ahead.”
For those who are not going to read this article, here is the spoiler. Islamic banking stands the best chance of surviving the self-destruction of the global economic system created in America and spread by force of arms.
You read that right, Arab Muslim nations refusing to worship money as a god now possess more financial security than any country following the American lead in creative banking. America is set to be defeated not by any external power but by the same internal forces who have distracted us with disinformation and lies.
No one in mainstream media connects the dots between a highly publicized energy shortage and record profits by, for example, British Petroleum, known in America as BP. And perhaps the greatest calamity we face, global warming, has virtually disappeared from public discussion.
Even if the American people seem asleep at the wheel to the extent of foolish ignorance a police state has been created in the name of preparing for fantastic theoretical terrorist plots stretching the limits of believability. Now the power of fear in the form of oppression by American armed forces waits in the wings if the American people ever do wake up and demand a proper accounting.

I think this is a very cool way to get out a very important message. This project gives people like myself the chance to let our voices be heard on what we are thinking inside our minds and our hearts.
Peace is just a word that means nothing to those people who do not work to achieve it. I think in my mind and deep in my heart every one would like a chance at peace.
Now I don’t know if we will ever see a world with peace. But I do think that if we all work together at what we can do and not worry about what we can’t do then we are moving in the right direction.
I love Willie Nelson for the songs that he has given us and for the work he does for the world. Once again thank you from the bottom of my heart for the invite and thank you for your hard work on this peace project.
