Mudslide was born above Warner Brothers studios and one of his first jobs was selling the L.A. Free Press on a hot street corner in Hollywood. He made 3 cents a copy.
Mudslide has a forty-year career as a guitar picker, singer, songwriter and the go-to guy that makes concerts happen. Mudslide doesn’t care about titles. He interested in getting the job done and this no nonsense attitude comes partly from his experience with the Big Sur Volunteer Fire Brigade.
Mudslide sings and writes what he calls,”rippie music: half redneck, half hippie.” He says, “I’ve played for 500,000 people, a dozen people at a time.”

Phil Ochs, Joe South, Kris Kristofferson, Bill Monroe, Carl Perkins, Buddy Miles, Buffy Sainte-Marie, Bobby Ingram, Bob Brozman, Tiny Tim and Delanie Barnetti to name a few.
And Johnny Rotten, “Just before we threw him out of the bar,” chuckles Mudslide.
He also has played acoustic jams “with some of the boys of Lynard Skynard,” Mudslide reminisces.
And to top it off Mudslide says, “I’ve played for Willie Nelson more times than I can remember.”
Mudslide was cast as the Lion in the play Somewhere Over the Rainbow a theatrical adaptation of The Wizard of Oz. He played for Allen Funt who was his advisor on the set.
Mudslide has been guest artist with Easy Money.
