Hear ”A Peaceful Solution” by Eynon Shaw

Eynon Shaw’s very cool unique version of Willie Nelson and Amy Nelson’s A Peaceful Solution is our latest entry in Willie Nelson’s song and video contest. Eynon hails from the United Kingdom making him our first European winner. Thanks for helping Willie Nelson Peace Research Institute go global, Eynon.

One thing I enjoy about this contest is that artists make A Peaceful Solution their own personal statement. Artists bring their individual unique style and flavor to the tune. Eynon does not disappoint.

His passionate Celtic vocals enliven my connection to deep emotions. The musical score offers a free trip to a small intimate setting with a private performance for his closest friends.

Eynon writes, “Just to let you know I have taken up Willie’s challenge! I’m actually a lawyer in the UK in the real world, but write songs in my spare time for my own amusement. Friends persuaded me to put some on a Myspace site… so here I am…

“Let me know what you think of my attempt. Keep that message winging its way around the World. I have bulletined all my Friends… and invited any of them who wish to use my version as backing for a video… let’s see what happens next?”

Eynon has a message to all of us about his version of A Peaceful Solution and Willie Nelson’s song and video contest.

“Hi… The first song you can hear is my attempt at the global challenge set by Willie Nelson… He wrote the lyrics on a bus in April and invites anyone in the World to set them to music and upload it, and any video that anyone makes to go with it, to willienelsonpri.com I thought an eclectic mix of Willie’s lyrics, with some Herbie Hancock schmaltzy electric piano, the odd bit of jazz piano improv, a moment of rock head-scream, some passionate Celtic vocals, over a reggae beat… was suitably international and cosmopolitan!! ;-)) Hope you like it. If anyone wants to put it with a video feel free…” Eynon
