Willie Nelson has expanded A Peaceful Solution peace project to include more people who might not be musicians, remixers or video makers.
Willie Nelson wants to include everyone.
Willie Nelson is offering the lyrics to the song A Peaceful Solution and giving you permission to add and/or change the lyrics to include your personal vision of peace. Peace is a collaborative effort.
What is your own unique vision for peace?
When you look at the whole wide world or your personal life do you see needs that aren’t being met that you could include in the lyrics for A Peaceful Solution? We want to hear your ideas, dreams and visions. Put it in a song.
Willie Nelson will read your lyrics for A Peaceful Solution.
The same offer stands that we have for musicians, remixers and video makers. We will post your version of the lyrics along with a favorable write-up and picture. All you need to do is write down your thoughts in your own song.
Willie Nelson has already given you A Peaceful Solution to build upon.
If you want to record and/or make a video of your rewritten version with additional lyrics, send us an mp3 file or a link to youtube or similar video hosting site. We will post it at Willie Nelson Peace Research Institute.

We got a wild idea that Willie might like to lead a caravan (a fleet of alternative fueled vehicles) from Watsonville, CA to Crawford, TX. We are going to Camp Casey with a sculpture installation called “Making Tangible an Abstract Measurement of Grief” representing all the people who have died because of our occupation of Iraq. We have to make 8,000 more six inch figures as that is how many more have died since this exhibit was set up last Spring. Kathleen Crocetti, sculptor and middle school art teacher, created this piece along with the community helping in making the clay figures and then placing them in the sand base. Bree Walker, the new owner of Camp Casey, is looking forward to having this sculpture as a temporary peace memorial, until she establishes a permanent one. We are going to head for Texas at the end of August or the beginning of September to get it set up for International Day of Peace. We were planning on taking three days with a UHaul, but it would be so much more fun and newsworthy if Willie could lead us, or join us, with his biodiesel bus, good spirit and peace songs. Stephanie

If Willie comes out West Virginia way, let me know. Maybe we can get a video of him for the Kucinich campaign and for the Peace Research Institute. I’d be happy to make videos for the Peace Research Institute.
