Ann gives us a poignant video creation of A Peaceful Solution. She doesn’t use fast cuts, special effects or distracting transitions that might allow us to disappear into a trance. No need to wow us with technical calisthenics and complicate her urgent message.

Ann’s straightforward and simple style matches her message.

She uses portraits to convey her message of peace. Portraits of real people who had hopes and dreams for a bright fulfilling future. Real people who felt love for their country while possessing a deep trust of their leadership.

Ann’s message rings loud and clear.

Her portraits represent real people who felt a strong responsibility to take action thinking that their sacrifice would benefit all people who believed in and desired freedom. Ann shows us portraits of real people that cross ethnic barriers and gender differences and share one thing in common.

These real people made the ultimate sacrifice.

No longer will we have an opportunity to find out what benefit each one of these human beings might have contributed to our world. As each day goes by family, friends and all of us recognize a growing uneasiness and sense of loss because we have not implemented A Peaceful Solution globally.

War diminishes all of us.

A Peaceful Solution calls on everyone to remember our birthright. Thank you Ann for sharing your vision and helping us remember our humanity.

Please create your vision for A Peaceful Solution.

Hopefully Ann’s heartfelt video inspires you to share your vision of A Peaceful Solution with Willie Nelson Peace Research Institute. We invite you to make a video, create a version of the song or rewrite the lyrics to A Peaceful Solution.

I hope it doesn’t appear overly dramatic but I wanted to humanize war. It isn’t an event that happens in some distant place. It impacts thousands of American homes every day.

I basically focused my thoughts on why I created the video I did.

The contest site requested a statement from the artist but I don’t consider myself an artist nor would I describe myself as an activist. I make small little videos on YouTube just for my own entertainment and I enjoy the creativity I see in other videos posted there.

But, when I heard Willie’s song, A Peaceful Solution, I felt compelled to respond.

The purpose of my video is to put a face to war and the true cost of war. We lose fathers, mothers, brothers, sisters, sons, daughters, friends, future teachers, nurses, artists, musicians, entrepreneurs, and much much more.

One line of A Peaceful Solution really touched my soul.

“Let’s remember how we did it, so we don’t have to do it again.”

I pray one day we find that peace is the priority that drives all nations.
