A Peaceful Solution Monterey Summer of Love Festival

Holly Cardoza sent email to Willie Nelson Peace Research Institute to say hello and tell us about the Monterey Summer of Love Festival this weekend. Holly says. “I’m excited to be associated with PRI!
“I’m performing A Peaceful Solution with Dustin, (Willie’s cameo trumpet player) at the 40th Anniversary of the Monterey Summer of Love Festival, along with some other songs about peace.”
I asked Holly if she could get a live recording of A Peaceful Solution and she said YES.
Holly sent us this cool poster and info on the concert. So if you’re in the Monterey area today and tomorrow stop by and listen to some great bands.
A call went out to ‘Musicians for Peace‘ to perform at the 40th Anniversary of the Monterey Pop Festival. Answering the call, and helping the festival’s goal to appeal to the younger generations, (specifically Generation X, Y, & Z), Holly Cardoza and her Soul Infusion band signed up immediately, securing a performance spot at 12:30pm on Sunday, June 29th on the Musicians for Peace stage.
Holly Cardoza and her Soul Infusion Band are Gen Xers excited to teach the festival audience Willie Nelson’s and Amy Nelson’s new song, A Peaceful Solution.
Band members include Dustin Hengl, guest trumpeter for Willie Nelson’s Family Band, Xolie Morra of the Army of I, and Josh Garey of SunHouse.
Recent performances of Dustin Hengl with Willie Nelson include the Catalyst in Santa Cruz, CA, the Fillmore in San Francisco, CA, and the Mountain Winery in Saratoga, CA.
A former member of the Planetary Bandits, Dustin Hengl met Willie Nelson while living on Maui. Now back on the mainland, Dustin Hengl enjoys guest performances with Willie Nelson when playing in California, and recently played A Peaceful Solution in front of a receptive audience in Saratoga, CA at the Mountain Winery.
Holly Cardoza and her Soul Infusion Band believe that A Peaceful Solution is exactly what we, as a country, need to move forward to achieve the dream of freedom that America was originally founded on. They are ready to ‘take America back’.
