Elizabeth McAdoo offers Willie Nelson Peace Research Institute a new hopeful A Peaceful Solution video for the Willie Nelson Peace Video Contest. Elizabeth’s video uses Willie Nelson’s a cappella version of A Peaceful Solution that allows us to stay focused on the words to the song.

This emphasis on Willie’s vocals without any distracting music track compliments the text images, which promises that a peaceful solution does exist. Elizabeth employs a very subtle yet effective multiple color transition with her single background cloud image.

Text changes color once and because of the power of her words almost imperceptibly. She has a simple message. She wants you to know we each have the power to create change.

We can do this by voting.

Elizabeth tells us to stand up and claim our power. She found a candidate that stands out from the pack.

She found Dennis Kucinich.

If you haven’t watched the video yet please do and see Elizabeth’s reasons for recommending Dennis Kucinich to us.

I feel passionate about creating Art for Peace because it acts as a catharsis for me when the pain of how cruel some people can be is too much for me to bear. I am involved in animal rescue and hearing “You can’t save them all” is something that weighs me down, because there are so many to save.

How does a person walk away from an animal, or a child, or a soldier fighting a senseless war, etc. without feeling their pain and suffering and carrying it with you? It doesn’t matter if it is an animal, my neighbor, or someone I see on TV or the Internet.

I feel for the helpless and the exploited.

Art for Peace allows me to express what I feel, and hopefully, someone can relate to what I am saying and know they are not alone in their feelings of anguish when they “can’t save them all” either and they had to walk away.

I have become tired of walking away, or feeling I am helpless to take action. Legislation can change how things are. To spend time crying about it isn’t enough.

Tears don’t save the victims, actions do, and laws do.

I was doing a web search to see which candidates for the 2008 election are advocates of Animal Rights. I wasn’t seeing anything I was impressed with until I found Dennis Kucinich.

As I read his views on Animal Rights, and The Department of Peace, I felt emotions that brought tears to my eyes. He was everything I was hoping for in a candidate and then some.

What a wonderful, caring man he is.

This is the man that can change how animals are treated, how humans are treated and how our Earth is treated. I feel compelled to spread the word and make sure people know they have a person they can vote for who will work for them, creating laws that benefit the humanitarian causes compassionate people care about.

Every single vote is important and no one should ever feel theirs won’t make a difference.

I chose the path of peace rather than forcefulness because peace works so much better. A kindness is often met with kindness. Forcefulness, on the other hand, is met with equal or greater forcefulness and is counterproductive. Even when it seems to have worked, it is discovered there will always be a bigger bully and it must be fought all over again.

This is why I create Art for Peace:)

I don’t have a website and I’m not even an artist, just a concerned citizen using the only thing I have~words~

With the exception of Al Gore, Dennis Kucinich has always been my heart’s choice. In 2000 and 2004, it was all about the most likely one to win. But, now, I believe that America is ready for a “Sea Biscuit”!:)….Dennis Kucinich for President and “Strength through Peace”:)

  3. I’m with you Patty! I was pulling for Ron Paul until Dennis threw his hat in. Thank God for Dennis. Some of the Paulites are a little too “dark side” for me. I believe in peaceful solutions first. They seemed to want an armed attack on the White House.

Love, Hope, Peace, & Christ Be With You,

  4. Is it ok to use the song for Dennis Kucinich campaign videos? I’d love to make one!

  5. Yes, Cal, you may use Willie’s soundtrack or any of the other musician’s soundtracks for your video. Send us the link after you post to YouTube or similar video hosting site and we will write an article and post it here.

You may do as many as you like and we will post all of them. Please pass this info around.

Thanks for your interest. Hope to see your video soon.

My interest in Dennis Kucinich was ignited by his stand on animal rights, then as I read his views on other issues, I was so overcome with emotion I could hardly believe my eyes. He has totally won my voting heart.
I believe that how a person feels towards animals and nature is a direct reflection towards all living things. If a person feels compassion towards what are socially acceptable as being “lower than” humans, they will just keep extending that compassion upwards and work towards a peaceful existence for all of us. Dennis Kucinich has proven that compassion over and over, in cosponsoring every major piece of animal protection legislation.
I could go on and on about the good things he has done, the list really is that long:)

    Good job Sis!
I love your ambitious attitude and devotion to the cause….
    as we now are aware…
the animals are fighting back from the grave!
How many tainted Beef patties were recalled?
How many shrimp were deamed to be uneatable last year and the year before?
How many fish are not to be eaten due to Mercury poisoning?

How many chicken places are finding that chicken has ecoli?
How many banquet Pot Pies are being recalled now?
I know that Karma does speak for the souls of the animals who were sacrificed for food and their flesh was wasted!
    Their lives for nothing!
I say even for the animals[ sometimes plants too]
    What comes around,goes around!
