Hear ”A Peaceful Solution” by Heidi Little
Heidi Little has enthusiastically and lovingly created her own unique version of A Peaceful Solution by Willie Nelson and Amy Nelson. Heidi let us know that she only listened to Willie Nelson’s a cappella version of A Peaceful Solution before she recorded her own stylized version of the song.
Heidi’s spirit shines as bright in her music as it does in her personal correspondences. She carries and uplifting and powerful message with her strong dynamic voice and simple acoustic guitar accompaniment.
Her moving voice conveys urgency and an emotional cry for everyone to listen and choose the light now. Heidi’s recording captures an immediacy of presence as if she sings to each individual person not a whole group of nameless faces.
If you pay attention to the lyrics you will hear Heidi put her own signature on the song as she rewrites a small part of the lyrics. Instead of Willie Nelson’s original lyrics, “…so we don’t have to do it again”, Heidi, adds, “…because we might have to do it again.”
Heidi is recording a new CD “A Call To Action” (All The Souls In Rhythm) at Parrot Tracks Studio in Austin, Texas. Supported by Indie label Invisible Hands Music out of London, England. It’s intended release is in late fall early winter. And it promises to be a record that inspires, ignites, and supports. Keep an ear open for this angel of light and give a listen to her other songs to brighten your day.
Heidi becomes the fifth woman singer to generously add her own song version of A Peaceful Solution. We now proudly feature 20 unique quality song versions of A Peaceful Solution from talented artists. We invite you to take Willie Nelson up on his offer to feature you and your song or video version of A Peaceful Solution.
Willie Nelson now has three versions of his song that you may download as well as 20 others to use for your video soundtrack.
Join us and become part of Willie Nelson’s Peaceful Solution.
Heidi Little has taken the time to write something very deep and personal and Willie Nelson Peace Research Institute would like to take this opportunity to thank her for sharing so much with everyone.
* * * * * Artist’s Statement * * * * *
I believe we choose to come to this planet with a mission. I believe we choose our parents, families, people who love us and don’t love us to remind us of why we are here, in case we get lost in the fray.
I believe that through love we can heal everything.
I believe that through controlling our thoughts, and egos, we can learn much, and if we keep our hearts, minds, and senses open we can learn even more. I believe that people inherently know what is good by going quiet and looking within themselves they will know the truth.
I believe we are all here to live in service to the light, and to ourselves and through that to help others. I believe that if every person believes they deserve happiness, love, and peace that the world will be healed.
I believe that now is the time that heaven (meaning Light/Love) can come to earth.
Through each man, woman, child, animal, insect, rock, ocean, blade of grass, tree, mountain, plain, canyon and the whispering wind, like a swelling babbling brook…Can you hear it…?
I spent the beginning of my life trying to make sense of why two people who said they loved would go about losing first themselves through alcohol and drugs, and subsequently everything they knew and loved.
They are still trying to find their way back twenty years later.
I have had the roles of punk rock band fronter, blues band dynamiter singer, model, teenage single mother, performer, student, back ground singer, spousal assault intervention worker, bartender, waitress, secretary, donut girl, cancer fighter and winner, public school teacher, new school technology program developer, at risk youth counselor, university graduate in theatre performance, recording artist, makeup artist, live touring artist, set builder, radio tracker, booker, promoter, actor, wife, friend, lover, and finally job wise a singer/songwriter who sings for the light.
And life wise, a strong woman/mother who lives to create love, light and peace.
Why have I dedicated my life to peace?
Because I have seen and felt enough pain in this lifetime to last all of eternity and beyond. It has made me dig my heels in.
Or flow smoothly, depending on how you look at it.
And every single thing I have sought and learned in this lifetime tells me that Love is the only way. War is not helpful or necessary, and no matter how much peace we bring and create in our own lives, somewhere in the world, raging on is the dark that is just waiting to be brought to the light.
Here is my analogy: Say you have a beautiful shiny purple marble and it’s the only toy you have. And a friend comes up and asks to see it, you gladly share your purple marble because everyone should be able to enjoy it’s beauty, sadly, it returns with a sticky spot on it.
And it is up to you to scrub it off without wrecking the finish of the beautiful once spot free marble. You have to do it, because every time you turn the marble over in your hands to see it catch the light, it sticks to you hand.
We will truly feel heaven on earth, when the yuckiness stops.
Thank you to all the people who actively are working to change and better our world. Thank you to Amy and Willie Nelson and the Willie Nelson Peace Research Institute for allowing all the artists who participated, the opportunity to be a part of something beautiful, thank you to all of the other organizations I am just becoming aware of.
It is not one person acting on their own anymore; it is large groups of dedicated and loving people.
Everything going on we create.
So lets create a little peace, for us, for our children, for our children’s children.
We are the change we want to see happen in the world.
It stands with us. Bring it on. Share.
Peace Love and Light your way…

I liked this version the best so far. Her use of dissonant chords was GREAT! Any objection to me doing something similar in a classical sounding version?
