Rooted In Faith

Tree Poem

Amalphi wrote and translated her poem then created this beautiful graphic for it. She seems to confirm my sense that thoughtful considerate people tend to also create beauty and seek peace.

In addition to her version of “A Peaceful Solution” Amalphi has become a strong supporter of our efforts here by designing our header graphic as well as all the graphic images we use for navigation in the left sidebar.

It no longer surprises me to discover the deep spiritual connections thoughtful considerate people perceive connecting all people, places and things in the universe. Our apparent isolation and separation is only an illusion that supports exploitation and violence.

While this insight has been popular in philosophical circles for thousands of years recently the cutting edge of western science has also begun to search for ways to communicate this concept. Amaphi has been following these developments and shares her understanding with us.

“The life I value is one that is connected to all things.” Willie Nelson

That’s what my poem is all about. Willie is one of the greatest poets, I think. He’s also a great inspiration to me.

I like to share something more about “being all connected to each other” with you. Therefore I’ll use a part of an essay I wrote based on an article I read in a Dutch magazine a couple of years ago. The story tells something about the Zero Point Field and the way I see it.

In the last century, Quantum Physicists have discovered that in a completely empty universe still remains a real beehive of activity. This endless sea of energy, that everything seems to connect like a huge network, is called the field of zero point energy: the Zero Point Field.

I picture myself as follows: When I close my eyes in the dark, I expect to see nothing. In reality I see many colored dots moving quickly and changing all the time. I don’t know where they come from or where they’re going. Sometimes faces of people I don’t even know appear.

Are these appearances projections of my own brains or has it something to do with the aspect the Hungarian system scientist Ervin Laszlo describes in his books?
According to Laszlo, our memories are not stored in our own brains but as holographic information in the field.

Let’s compare it with a super database. Our brains are mainly the receivers and processors of the information. This means that every thought that crosses your mind is retrieved from the super database and has been thought by many others before.

At this very moment it might also be thought by somebody else and in the future it will be thought by many others. The processing of the thought is for every person different and that explains the fact that the (re)action (or lack of it) will be different.

But how do I know whether my thoughts are mine or someone else’s? Apparently it doesn’t matter. Depending on your tuning at the field – e.g. the level where your brains resonate in certain frequencies – you’ll get the matching information. Because the field connects everybody with each other, we’re all responsible for it.

Enlightened thinkers contend that whoever wants another world must learn to think in another way. This reminds me of a saying in my school diary long ago: ”Improve the world, start with yourself”.

“Improve the world, start with the way you’re thinking” is a more specific statement in this context, I think.

Be like a tree, be rooted and connected with all roots surrounding you, touch the stars and the crack in your trunk sure will be healed.

Love and peace to you all from Monique “Amalphi” Claus, The Hague, The Netherlands
