Jonathan A. Kemp sent us our first A Peaceful Solution video for Willie Nelson Peace Video Contest from the Big Island of Hawaii. Using Willie Nelson‘s and Amy Nelson‘s A Peaceful Solution soundtrack that Willie Nelson recorded with Gypsy Pacific, Jonathan gives us an insider’s glimpse into the local life on the Big Island.

Jonathan’s video communicates the spirit of Hawaii, the most isolated island archipelago in the world, by showing us peace, harmony, love of family and respect for nature will bring a peaceful solution.

When Jonathan sent me his video I wrote back enthusiastic to feature his work and words. Jonathan sent me email and said, “I know my/our stuff isn’t polished or within the beltway, but is fresh from the heart, as they say in Hawaii, and is unboxed raw political theory of today’s truth from a unique, poly/aero sci-surf environment and perspective.

“More fun and healthier than mere sci-fi.”

After I sent Jonathan my questions for his interview for the artist’s statement he wrote back to me, “…this is fun, so must be art! but never thought of it as art before you mentioned it.”

When we each claim our individual voice and exercise our rights as U.S. citizens we free the creative spirit within ourselves.

This liberates the artist inherent in our being and contributes to

Why are you passionate about creating peace?

We can create a peaceful future of peace from a past of war; and, as a Nuclear Veteran with 6 children I passionately know we must. Funny how things add up. While in grad school @ USC in 1975 on the GI Bill I wrote a paper titled “Inventing the Future”.

How long have you been working for peace?

Since 1972.

What motivates you to work for peace and the environment?

Continuance of the only known Life in the Universe

Why have you chosen the path of Art for Peace?

The paths through the valleys of court and government had cannons to the right and left but Art is the high fun road with freedom to gaze from the fresh air looking over the mess in chocking valleys below.

What are your ideas for peaceful solutions?

Be real Americans and abide by 1st Amendment (no USA aid to religious states) and the rest of USA Constitution.

1st Amendment can end Iraq (etc religious) war, drug war see The Hawai’i Cannabis (THC) Ministry, and by saving war bucks end war on poverty, crime, hunger, etc.

Renewable energy, energy conservation and clean abundant tech like Standard Alcohol Company of America, Inc. (SACA)

Renewable investments, conservation of $ too by govt., business and the wise educated People

As a 3rd successful generation of California Dreamers, it wasn’t until after joining the US Air Force Nuclear Forces during the Vietnam War that I woke up from the joy of youth to face the World’s Harsh Reality.

For years after discharge wife and I wandered about in a 10 yr old Airstream trailer with 2 kids in nuclear weapon shock. Remodeled old houses and wrote a screenplay in 1979 ASHES, Nuclear Terrorist Attack Hollywood, about homemade nuke and nuclear terrorist named Ahmad.

When sand hit the chopper fan and Pres Carter’s Iran hostage rescue failed I found a Silver Lining in that Dark Cloud and began investing in penny solar and renewable stocks with plays like 25,000 shares @ 25 cents going to $8.

Wow, renewable profits by following ones heartfelt belief in renewable and solar instead of nuclear war over oil! That felt as good as a solar hot shower.

Invention of a webbed bodysurfing glove (tm Power Stroke) while coasting/surfing on solar profits led to move to Kona, Hawaii.

In peaceful Kona in 1/87 published Begin in Berlin calling for Berlin Wall to come down 5 months before Reagan and 2 yrs before Wall fell, and for Germany to unite, which they later did and for Europe to unite, which they did also.

Last official job was year Nixon resigned I drove a ferry for backpackers @ Florence Lake CA for Muir Trail Ranch. So although over the decades I didn’t get enough credits to qualify for Soc Sec., have been FREE since to follow heart, move here and there. Hawaii and WA now,

now still free to create Troops Home Now

Life is like a surf session, the swells roll by some ya ride others not, but free to choose the right wave. That’s a key, freedom, freedom to choose by reason or vibe.

USA is all about Freedom to create our future, and creation is art. I don’t think of myself as an artist but rather a theoretical scientist, but that may be the same thing. As a surfer I relish looking at the horizon and the happy beach humanity while day dreaming about how to help make the whole world like a happy peaceful beach, while at the same time pondering my newest emerging theory, Global Nuclear Summer.

My new theory, art, is that the bugger in global warming is not Gore’s CO2/tailpipes, but is instead H2O, CO2, etc., from over three decades of 711 atmospheric nuclear weapon tests, esp. the largest one, 100MT by USSR over the Arctic @ 13.000′ w/fireball reaching ground melting ice huge area flat like skating rink and cloud to 230,000′ that circled Earth 3X.

Duh! Let’s melt the Arctic? Wow it’s modern hi-tech Artic Art!

Ya might say USSR Totalitarian Art is Global Warming or in more precise terms ultimate art of many modern nations could be runaway Global Nuclear Summer that follows the mini nuclear winter that occurred during the 30 + yrs of atmospheric nuclear testing years.

We didn’t nuke each other but we all nuked the Earth and are responsible. If my new theory of Global Nuclear Summer is right, the political/aerospace creative art is seeing the silver lining that will be THE wakeup call and real good reason to find peace ASAP because humanity has been proven not capable of managing weapon technology.
