The best are speaking up!!!! Willie, Stevie Wonder, Maya Angelou… Great point Willie. I know the essence of Michael was good. And what a talent he was. Interesting that those from the right wing, who always push this country to invade other countries and foster wars, now they point a finger at Michael Jackson. He was a man, imperfect like all of us, with an important message in his songs. And despite his anguish and inner struggle he gave us all that he was given, as Maya Angelou said. And it surprised me to learn from Deepa Chokra, that he used to read Sufi poetry after performances and was reading Rabindranath Tagore (the most prominent poet from India) two weeks before his passing. Gossip and prejudice are a fact of life but I believe in the human spirit and sometimes artist like you Willie or Michael remind us of that hope.
