There is a peaceful solution. It’s called a peace revolution.
Now let’s take back America.
There’s a war and we’re in it, but I know we can win it.
So let’s take back America.
It’s a dream, so believe it.
Now get ready to receive it.
And let’s take back America.
And when the war is over and we’ve won it
let’s remember how we done it so we don’t have to do it again.
There is a peaceful solution. It’s called a peace revolution.
Now let’s take back America.
There’s a war and we’re in it, but I know we can win it.
Now let’s take back America.
There was a peace resolution
and a peaceful revolution
and the peaceful solution saved America

“There’s a war and were in it, but I know we can win it” has been misunderstood by some to think Willie Nelson is singing about the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. If you read Willie’s lyrics in the entire context of the song you will see he is talking about the war in America to enslave us.
That’s the war he says we’ll win. America has been stolen and Willie Nelson wants to “take back America.” Willie is not talking about Iraq or Afghanistan. Willie doesn’t believe we should go to war. Willie Nelson is 100% for peace. It’s time to “take back America.”
The war that we’re in is to “take back America.”
“And when the war is over and we’ve won it
let’s remember how we done it so we don’t have to do it again.”

There was a peace resolution
and a peaceful evolution
evolving is what always saves us
Peace!
I believe Willie was thinking of something that could happen in someone’s lifetime rather than wait for the next species to evolve from human beings. Evolutionary change is a long time coming.
I am down with what Willie, Liz and Jay say on the ‘Our Mission’ page.
Peace On Earth In Our Lifetime.
Sounds good to me. I really have no desire for hoping pie-in-the-sky saving my evolutionary decedents.
I just witnessed it in Egypt.
It’s real and It’s happening.
Looks like what happened in Egypt was with the ‘R’ to me, not looking for a debate or anything, just saying.
Im not looking for a a debate either and I do apologize for responding half asleep and not with the full attention I believe this topic deserves.
To me revolution has had in the past negative meanings, as you said
and I agree with whole heartedly about The Mission Statement.
It’s thinking at a higher level , making it evolved thinking . Like Mother Theresa never attended anti-war rallies , but would attend Peace movements. As the mission statement said replace negative thought with positive thought.
To me what happened in Egypt was done in a more peaceful way then we have seen in years, for me I see the world is evolving it always has been, just more are awakening to it .
Peace

1.
an overthrow or repudiation and the thorough replacement of an established government or political system by the people governed.
I don’t see that as a negatice thing at all. As John Lennon said, “Power to the People!”
I don’t remember where to post videos, but here’s a link to my version of “Peaceful Solution – Egypt Version.”

Cal-el
nice job!
The Egyptian solution is also being discussed in the comments over at A Peaceful Solution Story http://willienelsonpri.com/a-peaceful-solution-story.
As Kathy wrote above,”what happened in Egypt was done in a more peaceful way” and indeed it was.
As Cal wrote above, well, no need to quote the entire thing, it is right on.
You just have to love it when everyone in the comments agree, peacefully.
