Markchelle Eva Teresa Johansson, Josheph Myr and Dennis Vinas working thousands of miles apart bring us A Peaceful Solution by Willie Nelson and Amy Nelson.

This collaboration represents an International peace effort by friends who met on YouTube. Reg and Caley Campbell live in Callander Ontario, Canada. This version covers Reg and Caley Campbell’s version of A Peaceful Solution. Markchelle Eva Teresa Johansson and Josheph Myr live in Oslo, Norway. Dennis Vinas and his son Arthur live in Waukegan, IL.

Thank you so very much Markchelle, Josh and Dennis for this captivating and moving rendition of A Peaceful Solution. It brings tears to my eyes when I hear it. You put your collective hearts and souls into this project and I feel your strong convictions.

Excellent production all the way around. From the vocals, the musicianship, the audio mixing to the multiple video footage and editing all with overseas coordination represents an incredible feat. You pulled it all off with grace and style creating a beautiful unique work of Art for Peace.

Our Message to all:

Peace has been an ever enduring quest that mankind has sought for centuries. Countless wars have been waged over man’s history with the false assumption that war is the answer. In many cases, hidden agendas, personal greed, misguided beliefs and misinformation have sparked conflicts that could have been resolved had man stopped and thought that war only destroy peoples lives, retard a country’s progress and imperil the future of mankind…and our planet Earth as a whole.

We are all in this world to live in peace, not to die in war or the effects of war. We all want our children and our children’s children to enjoy the bounty that our planet provides. Let us not allow the misguided ideals of the few to dictate the will of the many.

Let’s all reach into ourselves, find the warmth that naturally exist within us and then voice out that Peace is attainable and sustainable if we all just group together and demand our most basic right to live in peace.

Remember that if life on Earth becomes so unbearable because of man’s false sense of self, we cannot just pack up and leave to move to another planet. Now, before it’s too late is the time to “DO IT”. Let’s get our act together. This is not just a problem for America; it is everybody’s problem. Wake up citizens of the world.

Dennis Vinas tells A Peaceful Solution collaboration story:

Through Reg Campbell’s youtube channel, Markchelle, Josh and I happen upon his wonderful version of the song “Peaceful Solution”. After one listens to a song of this class with its pleading message, one cannot sit idly by and ignore the beacon it represents.

I felt compelled and so did Markchelle and Josh, to fall in the ranks and do what we can to spread this solemn message for global peace. Markchelle (youtube channel orangepeels03), ask me if I’d do this collaboration with her and Josh (youtube channel orangepeels03).

We all agreed to do a rendition of Reg’s beautiful version of Willie and Amy Nelson’s A Peaceful Solution. Arthur (my 19 year old son) and I proceeded to lay the guitar and bass tracks for the song and sent it to Marchelle and Josh who both reside in Oslo, Norway.

They recorded their voices, singing along with the music file. Needless to say, after a ping pong game of sending vocal and instrument tracks back and forth across the Atlantic, Arthur was given the task of synchronizing the Norway “vocals only” file with the U.S. “instrument only” file. I added the vocal harmony tracks, strings sound and drum beats (I still wish I had a drummer)

So here goes the ghostly video story; the finalized mix of all the instruments and voices was again e-mailed (or was it yahoo messenger?) to Norway so that Josh and Markchelle can sing along to the finalized mix while they shot their video (they were so thoughtful to leave me room to Markchelle’s left so I can put my image next to hers). The magic of software-video and audio synchronization is again back in the hands of Arthur, a student of Music Production.

My video clip playing my guitar and singing harmony is merged with Markchelle and Josh’ video clip to make the final video appear like we were all in the same room. I guess the ghostly appearance make us appear spirit-like, “The Emissaries of Peace?” Tell me “NOT!”

All in all, the experience is very fulfilling and we hope that our effort can contribute to a “A Peaceful Solution”.

On behalf of Markchelle Eva Teresa Johansson, Josheph Myr, and my son Arthur Vinas(his Redroom Studio…is there a hole in my pocket?), I thank Willie and Amy Nelson for initiating the “Peace drive” and writing this beautiful song, Reg Campbell for inspiring us profoundly and to everyone who viewed, listened, commented, rated, criticized, favorited, vlogged our rendition.
IT IS NOT ABOUT ONE’S RELIGION, NATIONALITY, RACE, AND COUNTRY OF ORIGIN. IT IS OUR ONLY EARTH. LONG LIVE PLANET EARTH!!!
