Randall Lee Reiss gives us a version from a skillful blending of blues and Spanish guitar. His outstanding guitar playing evokes powerful emotions. Randall’s soulful guitar playing and vocals bring so much joy and peace as I listen to his composition. His passion for his music plays through every note and conveys urgency to creating “A Peaceful Solution.”
He further plays all the instruments into a multitrack and mixes it down himself. In addition to his guitar playing talent, Randall Lee Reiss becomes a great example of how far someone can leverage technology.
We really appreciate that Randall Lee Reiss leverages technology to spread the idea of peace. This just goes to give you a taste of what has become possible with technology you might already have in your hands.
Think about it for a moment.
There may be many injustices beyond your reach to correct but there still are things you can do. Things like singing a song. Even if it is your first shot at recording your voice like this was with Randall Lee Reiss, you can likely pull it off too.
No, it won’t be like his version.
But it will be very much like your version.
And that is the next version we wish to see.
We believe amazing things can happen if enough people start singing “A Peaceful Solution” and sending around mp3 files and videos. The important thing is that you participate.
It just gives me a thrill when every week someone else sends in a video or mp3 of his or her version of “A Peaceful Solution.” Often I marvel at the talent and skill displayed in these clips. To see this talent and skill being put towards peace always perks me up.
You might not play a guitar in the style of or as good as Randall Lee Reiss. Your first attempt recording your voice may not go as well. But no one is going to judge you on the standard Randall Lee Reiss set with his version.
In fact, you receive kudos for participating. While it is a really good feeling for more accomplished musicians to join in, we never wish this to raise the bar to prohibit anyone from participating.
Randall Lee Reiss keeps both a MySpace profile and a YouTube channel. It is worth a visit especially if you are also a fan of the blues.

About RLR Blues Band
I am a self-taught guitar player. I picked up the guitar when I was 12 years old and never really got into it until about 3 years ago, although I have listened and studied the different sounds of the Blues Guitar, Flamenco Guitar, and Classic Rock for the past 10 years.
I remember going into the attic of my home and picking out one album out of about 1000, and it just happened to be Albert King, titled Lucy. I listened to his sound and had chills up and down my spine. I ran to my guitar and tried to match his sound but I could not do it.
I turned the guitar upside down and kept it strung right-handed not even knowing that Albert King played this way and I got a similar sound. After I realized this is a very unique style, I began to practice literally 4-6 hours every day.
I started getting into Floyd, Hendrix, and the Led, and even some Flamenco. I finally figured out that most music today comes from the BLUES. Now that I had a feeling almost unexplainable, very spiritual, I then studied almost every genre of music from soul to metal, from Isaac Hayes to Metallica.
I learned there is no limit on how good an individual can play. You cannot compare musicians; everyone has their own unique sound. Just when you thought you have mastered something, you can always improvise.
The sky is the limit.
Music is more than a passion to me; it is my way of releasing my feelings and emotions. My Guitar is named (Bluesy). I came across the name from Albert and B.B. King. I took Albert’s Guitar name (Lucy) and B.B.’s guitar named (Lucille) and came up with Bluesy.
We live in a tough world today and it is very difficult to touch upon this situation but I must. Regardless of what type of situation anyone is going through you can always occupy yourself with music. The more music in the world means less war. Everyone has talent and sometimes you do not even know you have it, but it is there.
I am an individual that was really going through rough times, but I have reached way down inside my soul and music brought me back. Do not let anyone say you can’t do it; you can do anything you put your mind to.
Live free and respect everyone as equals. Regardless of who you are you still are a human being as everyone else is also.
We all need love in our lives and The Blues is my love.
Live, Love, Light, Health, and Happiness to all.
Long live the blues and all music will prevail.
