A Peaceful Solution Pepi DePaoli

Pepi DePaoli becomes the first artist from Italy to do his own version of A Peaceful Solution. Pepi created a sweet video where he sings along with Reg and Caley Campbell in Canada from his car in Italy. This version of A Peaceful Solution from Reg and Caley Campbell of Ontario, Canada was recently featured on our site and now Pepi has added his voice to create new harmonies and a new song for peace.
And this choice of song is no coincidence because Pepi and Reg are friends on YouTube. Both part of a much bigger community that has nothing to do with geography. This is the beauty of virtual communities. People are finding other people all over the world who share similar ideas and interests who might never have met without this current technology.
As friends they share their art with each other, offer support and encouragement and communicate who they are and what they care about through these interactions. When we experience another’s art we learn so much about the artist behind the work. The finished piece of art is truly a self-portrait and recognizable to anyone who takes the time to explore the work.
Friendship grows as each person shares more and more of who they really are.
Pepi DePaoli has brought his friends together through the magic of video. We sit in a car in Italy listening to Pepi sing with his distant friends in Canada just outside his car window. Pepi’s voice contributes a wonderful dimension to the song and as I watch him sing I feel his strong desire for letting us know how much he believes in peace.
Pepi brings so much to the community at YouTube. We experience a taste of Italy and daily life through Pepi’s eyes as we take road trips through the countryside and the small towns with this kind hearted human being who directs our impromptu tours. He also reaches out and encourages many other video makers who want to share their voice and vision.
To live in a peaceful world it seems imperative that we learn about our neighbors in our own geographic community and in distant countries as much as we can and strive to understand what unites us as human beings. Pepi shows us his life in Italy and the more we see what he loves the more we can relate to him as a unique, valuable and special person.
The recognition of common ground creates the foundation for a real friendship. This brings us all closer to making choices that will benefit all of us and leave the world a better place for our children.
Thank you Pepi DePaoli for reaching out from Italy and touching all of us with your message of peace and goodwill. Please visit Pepi’s YouTube channel for more down-to-earth videos from this one-of-a-kind artist.

Pepi…Dear Friend,and Brother
Pepi is a man who is instantly likeable, easily befriended, and once befriended, becomes loveable, more like family than friends! He not only invites you into his world and his very interesting life, but into his home, his beautiful family, and his great heart and soul. I befriended Pepi through music on you-tube. Early in my experience, while compiling songs on playlists, I started noticing many, many had one thing in common, they had been posted by Pepi! Not only music I was familiar with, much great music I hadn’t heard before, I quickly realized that if it said posted by Pepi, it was something to be watched!
We started talking to one another, commenting on each others posts and became very fast friends, and greater still, part of a larger community of friends, with common interests, good music, and great friendships! Now I’ve come to know Pepi, and his lovely family. Pepi is a father, and a farmer, he is also a well travelled man of the world, with most recently trips to Iceland, and just back from a Willie Nelson concert in Dallas Texas. In my opinion, he sees the world through a fathers, and a farmers eyes. With love he nurtures his family, and his land, he knows the seasons and which way the wind blows, literally and metaphorically speaking…
Which man amoungst us, would not wish for Peace for his family and his land, whatever vocation, what person, would not want Peace for all people and all lands? Whatever race, color, creed, politic, religion, people the world over want Peace, and a Peaceful Solution to conflict. We in the “civilized” world, we in the “have” nations, so blessed, that some from the Third World would prefer to live in our jails, than to stay in their destitute, utter poverty, we must set the example, we must set the standard, we must move forward and lead and aid the “havenots” to a better life, and a better world, and a Peaceful Solution. Thank you my dear friend Pepi, you lead by example, a husband and father, yes with much love and compassion of spirit and soul, a farmer, yes with a farmers hands and heart, a worldly wise gentle man, yes with an insightful, worldly eye to the future, and Pepi, great taste in music, Brother, Peace and Love, your friends, truly Reg and Brenda, Caley, Ty and Jason
