A Peaceful Solution Rockin Rob 4
Rockin’ Rob Hicks created his protest film with the Willie Nelson and Gypsy Pacific Jazz version of A Peaceful Solution for the soundtrack. It’s encouraging to see that many people have decided to take action and stand up for what they believe. If one can find a positive aspect to this war it might involve giving many Americans a reason to leave the comfort of their homes, get out on the streets and meet other people who might agree or disagree with their opinion.
And people are talking and protesting, trying to get their voices heard. This is a good thing. The more people who decide to take action will encourage others to speak their mind. Isn’t that what we want in a democracy?
In Rockin Rob’s film we see both sides of the debate over the war. Although arguments ensue, it is vitally important that people get out, speak their mind and speak to each other. Out of all this emotional display, hopefully meaningful dialog can begin to emerge.
What if all over the country in every large and small town people meet to discuss issues that impact all our lives? These concerned citizens might develop plans and make this info available to other interested groups who draft more plans on solving pending and potential situations.
More concerned citizens might join in to offer their unique input when they realize their opinion matters to others. This valuable information with viable plans begin to spread to other interested communities for input and constructive problem solving. Representatives in government receive this information with a clear message that the people have spoken and expect the representatives who work for the people to follow the directive.
Pie in the sky? Not necessarily. This is our government. The officials work for us. We as a people must feel driven to get out of our comfort zone and make changes. We need more peaceful solutions and people willing to promote these peaceful solutions throughout the land.
It’s just takes one person at a time deciding to claim their power and do anything they can to help institute changes that will benefit all life. And like Rockin’ Rob shows us it can take the form of a video for peace or it might be a song for peace. These represent 2 ways to get involved but there are as many ways as people who want to create positive changes.
No one will do it for us. What will you do today to help set the groundwork for a peaceful resolution?

This film could not have been possible, if it were not for 2 things; First, a bold vision of an angry filmmaker to almost get mowed down by a big black SUV while standing in a gutter to get those shots of the protester’s messages, and a thing called Local Public-Access Television.
Local public-access television loaned me the TV-grade video and sound equipment to shoot the footage, the editing bay to produce it, and unlimited re-runs of the program, American Families for Peace, on a local cable channel sponsored by the city and cable provider.
I strongly encourage all American Patriots out there, to hook up with their local public access television stations AT ONCE (where available), and to GET OUT THERE and be the EYES AND EARS OF YOUR COMMUNITY!
No less than our Constitutional Freedoms are at stake AT THIS MOMENT IN OUR NATION’S HISTORY!
Letters to your editors are important, as are calls to your talk show hosts, but NOTHING COMPARES to being a courageous public television producer for your local community.

Aloha from Maui – We loved “A Peaceful Solution Rockin Rob 4″! Sad that we all have been inspired by an outrageously horrible situation. It is so important to support Public Access Stations across the country to maintain this wonderful method of expressing ourselves via freedom of speech. Peace!
