A Peaceful Solution
I want to be proud America
But not because of war

BALD HIPPIE exercised his creativity in originating additional lyrics for “A Peaceful Solution” and then put a lot of energy and feeling into their performance. BALD HIPPIE knows of many obstacles to peace but doesn’t let them stand in the way of standing up and singing for peace.
But at the same time that we work on mitigating the large long term obstacles to peace we must also ask for peace now. The current active moment has a power to it beyond estimation.
We can use this moment to ask for peace.
That is what BALD HIPPIE does by humbly accompanying himself on an acoustic guitar while pouring forth with emotion asking for a peaceful resolution. Nothing was ever achieved without first imagining it and then asking for it.
Imagine peace. Ask for peace.
We hope you can see this agenda behind the “A Peaceful Solution” project. The Willie Nelson Peace Research Institute first puts forth the idea of world peace in our lifetimes.
Then we ask for it.
And we invite you to ask for it too. We certainly don’t expect that everyone will see the wisdom in this approach. But we do expect that once a critical number of people singing for peace is achieved then amazing results become possible.
So we just ask everyone we come in contact with to create their own version of “A Peaceful Solution.” And we ask them to pass it on.
We believe in the power of this expanding network of peaceful artists who spread the word of a peaceful resolution.
BALD HIPPIE proves to be part of the expanding network of peaceful artists. He does it in his own voice singing his own lyrics.
You don’t need to go that far.
Willie Nelson provided the original lyrics. Or, you can use one of the recordings as the soundtrack to a video.
There is no good excuse not to be involved.

Why are you passionate about creating peace?
We’re very close to achieving it…. President Bush always thought it could never be accomplished and now even he has changed his mind.
How long have you been working for peace?
My life goal has been to have a peaceful mind. I’ve accomplished that goal. I’m satisfied with who I am. I sleep well.
What motivates you to work for peace and the environment?
They are one and the same. Taking care of the environment will bring peace. That’s the barometer that we need.
Why have you chosen the path of Art for Peace?
I haven’t chosen art…. art chose me.
What are your ideas for peaceful solutions?
Trying to achieve peace first will never work. The number one environmental issue on everybody’s mind is global warming. The number one peace issue on everyone’s mind is Iraq and the Middle East. If we bring peace to the Middle East and are still dependant on foreign oil, then we’ve achieved one without the other. But if we remove our dependence on foreign oil by converting to alternative energies, we will have no reason to be in the middle east other than America never abandon’s allies so at the very least, by converting to alternative energy, we will have removed the biggest obstacle to peace.
