Gregory Brenner puts a lot of vocal dynamics in his version of “A Peaceful Solution” that convey a good deal of emphasis and emotion. And, Gregory Brenner does this while maintaining a very peaceful atmosphere.

Process is as important as product when it comes to peace.

What a delicate job it is to convey a sense of urgency in asking for change while not letting the request become some type of whining, judgmental or confrontatory challenge. Gregory Brenner pulls off this job in great style and creates a friendly, peaceful and intimate rapport with his viewers as he does it.

To ask for disengagement from violence without sinking to the level of violence demonstrates a maturity and awareness that needs to become pervasive if the human race is to survive. Indeed, with enough maturity and awareness among people, the need to ask for peace will become unnecessary.

If more people recognized the tragic waste created by violence and the benefits of peace then a peaceful resolution becomes obvious and inevitable. Peace becomes the only sane choice for a world facing accelerating challenges. Not choosing peace only accentuates and exacerbates the emerging dangers we face as a global people.

The peace process involves doing exactly what Gregory Brenner does in this video.

Put the message of peace out there.

Keep putting the message of peace out there.

Eventually enough people will not only hear the message but also get the message. The sad evidence is that not enough people get the message.

Sure, peace proponents have been around for a long time. But too often they have been marginalized and dismissed. And yet the call for peace persists despite the violence of others and in fact the call for peace persists because of the violence of others.

It is the violent ones that make peace mandatory.

I feel the people of the United States and the World are losing patience with violence. Violent means beget violent ends. This simple formula is proving its accuracy over and over again.

If we are to believe that most people desire peace then all that is actually required becomes the mutual recognition of this sentiment. More and more, every day, people come around to embracing peace as both a desirable process as well as the desired product.

Musicians like Gregory Brenner make this magic happen.

How unassuming and nonconfrontational to pick up an acoustic guitar and sing a simple song of peace. Certainly, this can offend no sane person. Yet, the message is powerful, necessary and effective.

Music moves people.

The movement of people towards a peaceful resolution grows all around the world, all the time and every day. Every day in every way things become more and more peaceful.

Believe it and we will achieve it.

Peace to me is a vision as well as a reality that can be attained.

In this time of crazy wars, sons and daughters dying for a cause they do not believe in. I respect our soldiers to the fullest because I feel their one desire is to protect us.

I also feel that they’re fighting and risking their lives when they should be home because there is no reason for them to still be there.

It makes me sick to try to understand how it must feel for them when they are told that they’re going home and then the next minute they’re told they must stay for another year, and another and another.

My love and heart goes out to those soldiers and their families.

This is not the first time it has happened but one thing that can be said is that whenever an injustice like this is upon us, musicians have always spoke and sung the words and thought deep inside the hearts of the people.

Willie Nelson’s “A Peaceful Solution” is a perfect example of this.

It’s a dream, so believe it.

Now get ready to receive it.
