Bob Malvasio sings “Take Back Mother Earth” throughout his version of “A Peaceful Solution.”

This bigger view of things that Bob Malvasio makes explicit indicates the global foundation required for pervasive and long lasting peace. Here at Willie Nelson Peace Research Institute we could not agree with him more.

The small handful of categories we write about includes the environment, appropriate technology, animal rights and the interests of family farms in contrast to corporate agribusiness.

We recognize the need to make peace with Mother Earth.

A peaceful and long lived society would embrace peaceful coexistence with Mother Earth. We disregard our interdependence with all life at our peril. Thinking that we stand alone and above all and everything else inevitably brings about conflict.

Arrogance and hubris leads people to assume the power of life and death over others. The same willful arrogance lacking in conscience and devoid of feelings for others betrays the psychopathic tendencies of an intraspecies predator.

Those who ravage the environment to extract raw materials, promote wasteful and toxic technologies, abuse animals and displace sustainable family farms with extractive agricultural practices that deplete the soil without guilt or remorse are an anathema upon civil society.

Those who exercise pathological values take advantage of everything in their environment and play no favorites. People become targets for exploitation along with animals, plants and minerals from the Earth.

Abusive, aggressive, irresponsible people incapable of insight with a poor sense of consequence leave damage wherever they go. Peace will not last if human conflict temporarily abates while aggression upon Mother Earth continues.

Bob Malvasio reminds us that we cannot stop with taking back America.

The entire planet will have to be treated as if we depended upon it for life itself. Only when all life becomes respected will we also be trusted to respect the lives of other people.

It’s all or nothing. Literally, all life must persist or no life will exist.

Bob Malvasio sings with conviction of insight and demonstrates his understanding of the interconnectedness of all life upon Mother Earth. His voice seems saturated with deep heartfelt emotions.

I believe in non-violence, war is just a game of money and power played by powerful people who use and manipulate the general public with politics and religion. The amount of money spent on weapons of war and national defense worldwide could reverse global warming and end poverty in less then 20 years.

Peace is the only way the human race will survive and thrive.

I have always believed that music can inspire people to be something other then what they are, by making them think about and feel other people’s experiences.

Music is the way that I contribute to the peace movement.
