The organization called “Campaign for America’s Future” has produced their version of “A Peaceful Solution” with an emphasis upon, you guessed it, Take Back America.

This seems to be yet more evidence of a widespread feeling among We The People of the United States of having lost control over our country.

We have discovered ourselves reviled by a large portion of the world because of the unilateral use of our military strength around the globe. Surely this was not desired nor even seen as necessary by most Americans.

The economy has been shaken deeply by spiraling war debt. I believe most Americans would rather see those resources invested in America where they could pay dividends rather than funneled into the private fortunes of war profiteers.

The personal toll from war dead and injured is staggering. These men and women could have contributed greatly to the wealth of America instead of contributing to its burden. Certainly all can see that no good comes from this shameless sacrifice of America’s youth in their prime.

All Americans have lost rights that once made America the legitimate democratic leader worldwide. Where once we had the lead in demonstrable freedom and liberty, that opinion can only now be spoken with pain, derision and satire.

We have seen a great response at the polls as the country prepares for another national election. Expectations are high that the voice of the people will at long last be expressed by the highest levels of government.

But after the suspicious nature and unanswered questions surrounding the bombing at Oklahoma City, the Trade Towers bombing and the devastation of 9/11 you would think that people would be demanding more answers.

After the questionable circumstances surrounding the last two presidential elections, people are stepping forward in increasing numbers in an attempt to change the system from within. There seems to be a new determination to make the United States respond to the will of the people.

The organization called “Campaign for America’s Future” is doing everything it can to make the pressure of the people felt in Washington, D.C. The system can now show how well it obeys the dictate of the electorate.

This is the national drama. The time to take back America has arrived. This year will prove if there is enough of America left to be heard.

Take back America, Americans. Now is the time to find out if you have the country you thought you had.

By founding the Peace Research Institute, Willie Nelson has used the Web to bring together individuals fighting for the cause of peace and justice.

Campaign for America’s Future also hopes to bring together individuals dedicated to positive, progressive change in America, and has remixed “A Peaceful Solution” for this year’s Take Back America conference.

In this critical year, Take Back America will bring together all of the elements of the progressive movement—grassroots and netroots activists, elected officials, business owners, policy experts and more. Together we will generate new power for our movement for change based on a new vision and bold ideas for an America that works for everyone, not just the few.

Five themes at the heart of the progressive agenda will be the focus of Take Back America 2008:

* Green Jobs for a Sustainable Energy Future

* Quality, Affordable Health Care for All

* Out of Iraq to Real Security

* The New Social Justice Agenda
