Osvaldo Paese rocks out with his version of “A Peaceful Solution.”
You have to respect the energy, passion and emotion Osvaldo Paese puts in to his performance. If more people got that excited about peace then we would already live in a more peaceful world.
Even if just the people who already believe in peace got that excited about it then we could see beyond our individual causes and appreciate our common bond in peace. But instead of all the peace movements realizing the connections between all violence we have spent too many years divided and conquered.
Animal rights advocates and environmentalists, appropriate technologists and family farmers, gays and straights, men and women, Muslim, Jew and Christian have wasted a lot of energy insulting each other instead of admitting their own mistakes.
Most people seem to get more excited about other peoples’ violence than about their own peaceful ways. Let’s all get excited about peace for a change.
All of this divisiveness makes it impossible to move a peace agenda forward. This only helps those who profit on discord, violence and war.
In the United States of America we’ve all been socialized to be politically ignorant, so i suppose it’s no wonder that most of us are.
Osvaldo Paese gets right up and puts it out there. He serves as a good example to all of us.
Get over your personal crusade. You’re not the only sensitive person in the world.
The manifestation of peace for each of us will come only when we understand that violence upon anyone is tied to violence upon us all and with that understanding build coalitions.
We must move on to higher ground and try to create what Martin Luther King called “the beloved community.”

Peace is an abstract thought that isn’t an abstract thought. It’s an idea that is nothing without action.
It’s an action that starts with an idea.
Peace is needed in all aspects of society and all levels of wealth.
My role as an artist is to create songs that are not obvious. It’s in the way that it is performed and presented that is what makes it clear.
The point of music is to spread peace and understanding with an appreciation for all cultures and philosophies. That all comes to the table.
The world may be changing rapidly but no one can ever change the real necessities of life.
If you have peace and want to share it, the rest will follow.
Peace means no pollution.
Peace means no war.
Peace means no dishonesty.
Peace means no starvation.
Peace means trying to make more peace.
