Willie Nelson Proves There Are No Red States or Blue States

It is said that the walls between Red States and Blue States are composed of many “bricks.” Each “brick” is an issue such as race relations, gender issues and agricultural versus industrialized development. It is important to understand the origin of these issues.
These issues were not originally the issues of The People of the United States. The People have simple basics needs such as adequate food and housing, safety and security for their family and community, and educational opportunities for their children.
Corporations, governments and religions created these issues. These issues were created to divide The People in able to conquer and control them. These originated and exist as phony made-up issues with the sole purpose of dividing The People of the United States.
I think the question, “What if there were no Red States and Blue States?” puts the cart before the horse. The fact that their existence can be demonstrated is merely proof that divisive tactics have already been successful. If the distinction between ‘Red’ and ‘Blue’ no longer existed then that would mean that divisive tactics were no longer successful.
What if divisive tactics did not work?
There would be no Red State/Blue State polarization!
If listeners switched off talk radio hosts that use divisive tactics then advertisers would no longer sponsor them and they would be off the air. The People of the United States must discover that shock jocks provide division and not entertainment. The real question becomes, “Why do people buy into divisive tactics?” That answer is inside of people’s heads.
Almost anything in the world can be used to unite or divide. Music is a good example of this. People in both Blue States and Red States appreciate Willie Nelson’s music. He is famous for having people in his audience that mainstream media would have us think are natural enemies, such as hippies and cowboys. But unfortunately there are many examples of music that reinforces the divide.
Willie Nelson has given us a song, A Peaceful Solution, that resonates with everyone who had heard it. Willie Nelson proves that music doesn’t need to be divisive. Willie Nelson proves music can be unifying.
I think that if there were no walls between Red States and Blue States we would have first been listening to more music like Willie Nelson’s. All music need not be in the same style but certainly with the same feeling and intention behind it. The walls inside of people’s heads must come down first. Then the visible manifestations of those hidden walls would not exist.
But making and enforcing rules as to what kind of music can be written and performed is not a solution. The People of the United States must discover for themselves why they like to listen to violent divisive music. The People of the United States must discover for themselves why they support divisive and violent government. The People of the United States must discover for themselves why they believe in religions that preach peace but practice violence.
Psychologists can prove that children raised in violent environments grow up to create more violent environments. So we have a loop. Violence against women and children creates in the next generation more violence against women and children. It is this loop that must be broken. When this loop is broken people will no longer create and seek violence. When this loop is broken divisive tactics will no longer work.
So stop all forms of practicing and supporting violence now. Do not fall for divisive tactics. Do not visit violence on women and children. This will take all of your will power because you were raised in a divisive and violent environment. But you can overcome it.
This is how we can give peace a chance.

I completely agree with you that the imaginary walls that have been erected and talked about between Red and Blue States in the US, are not based on any underlying real differences. They have been created by focusing on differences of viewpoints on some issues that have been blown up so that people start seeing the others who have different views as evil, the enemy, etc.. The many things that people in both ‘camps’ share are much stronger than the differences that are being hyped up and spotlighted.
