Peter Theis sings about walking “the way of love” in his version of “A Peaceful Solution.” It takes courage and independence to walk the way of love during times of violence and strife. Peter Theis suggests that we accept this challenge and manifest peace right now.
Peace really won’t manifest any other way.
Peter Theis singing solo without his band Los Topes offered another song, “Of An Independent Mind” and I think it presents a realistic foundation for walking the way of love. We must all become of an independent mind to be able to deal with tasks before us.
When those who you should be able to trust routinely tell you lies, you must possess an independent and discerning mind to detect and ignore the dross. When you posses such a mind you are ready to walk the way of love.
The wisdom of the way of love is not obvious.
You must observe, study and above all learn profound lessons to appreciate the way of love. It is too easy for bullies to have their way and set a bad example for others. You must be of an independent mind.
Bullies never prosper in the long run.
The simple solutions too often produce unintended consequences. As long as people are susceptible to being seduced by an apparently free lunch or quick and cheap fix the bullies will have their way.
It may appear to be prudent to side with the bullies but this is an illusion fostered by the bullies themselves. The truth is that sooner or later you will be victimized by the bullies anyway and no one will come to your aid if you had previously aided and abetted their activities.
If you were thinking of leaving the world of the bullies behind, walking the way of love and embracing a peaceful revolution then now would be an excellent time to do it. You must be of an independent mind to do this but it will pay off huge benefits.
Sooner or later, one way or another, the world will find peace.
The determination of our survival as a species and quality of life in post-petroleum local economies depends upon our actions now. The longer we allow misconceived orchestrated death, violence, pain and destruction continue the more pointless waste we will have to regret.
This temporary prosperity created by stealing and exploiting non-renewable resources will inevitably need to end. We can either plan for a graceful, well considered and humane transition or wait until we hit a wall.
The wall looms immediately in front of us.
Less discernment is required to see the wall these days. In the coming weeks and months it will become obvious to most. Soon nature will make the decision for us.
If we leave it to nature to correct the imbalance we’ve created then we risk our existence as a species. Left to follow the personal dictates of greed and desire, the bullies will consume or destroy the last of that which sustains us.
Life comes from life.
When nourishing life withers away so will we all. If we persist in our madness a few of us will die starving alone in the cold and dark as the last representatives of our species.
This is a scene we can avoid if we act now.
Walk the way of love and witness how marvelous things can be in a world at peace.
A Peaceful Solution
There’s a peaceful solution
called a peace revolution
Now we walk the way of love
There’s a war and we’re in it
but I know we can win it
And we walk the way of love
It’s a dream, so believe it
Now get ready to receive it
And let’s walk the way of love
And when the war is over and we’ve won it
Let’s remember how we done it
So we don’t have to it again
There was a peace revolution
WAR IS OVER
And a peaceful revolution
WAR IS OVER
And the peaceful solution
RIGHT NOW
Saved us all
PEACE!

I am originally from Wisconsin but I have been living in Mexico City, Mexico, for 8 years now. I do music for film, I act, and I write. I also have a band (myspace.com/lostopes) on a medium-sized record label here and my own personal music project (myspace.com/petertheis).
I have a PhD in Creative Writing and I teach to pay the rent. And I do all of these things with the intention of trying to help the world be more healthy and peaceful because it is obvious to me that what we do to the web of life touches one and all. I love all things creative and I always try to “follow my bliss” and “follow the path of the heart.”
Like Willie says, “I believe that creative imagination rules the universe.” And when our creative imaginations unite to do good, we can do anything.
I am passionate about the real dream of peace because I feel to not be passionate about peace is to allow mafia thugs like Bush and Clinton and Bin Laden to divide all of us and abuse us for their own personal gain.
I don’t see political parties as much as I see an ownership class around the world wanting to use the old “divide and conquer” technique to keep the rest of us fighting and in fear so they can manipulate us. Here’s a secret that may help: the most powerful people in the world are powerless to create the light in the eyes of a child who is smiling with pure joy. Those of us who live with love and joy are the light that guides us through the dark corners of the universe.
When I teach (to students, teachers, or directors) I often explore “positive aspects of non-conformity,” and concepts like the “rhizome,” because, as Einstein once said, “The problems of the world will not be solved by those who created them.”
To realize that how we think and what we believe directly affects the world we live in is one of the most powerful insights to hold close to your heart. A song of mine called “Window” has a line that goes “how we see becomes who we are somehow.” That’s what I’m talking about.
If we think of the problems of the world as a big cancer tumor, one healthy cell very likely cannot defeat it. But if a million cells surround it and focus their healing powers on it, the cancer tumor can be removed and the “body” of the world healed.
That, I feel, is where all of us have to start — working together, regardless of political viewpoint, economic level, or belief system, to make this world a peaceful, healthy place of liberty for all to live in.
Peace!
Peter Theis
