A Peaceful Solution Kristina Elise Fitzsimmons
Kristina Elise Fitzsimmons sings “A Peaceful Solution” with the full understanding of the key support the environment, people with multi-generational ties to the land and the appropriate use of technology provide for peace.
The truth seems to be that no part of our troubles will finally be solved until all our troubles are solved. Different individuals may see one facet or another as critical and they are all correct.
Every facet is critical.
To pretend that the fate of indigenous rain forest people of Ecuador do not matter to you and future generations is to fall into a particularly narrow reality tunnel. The ties that connect us all have become all too obvious and necessary.
The careless over breeding of domestic animals cannot continue. The inhumane slaughter of unwanted animals is not a worthy, intelligent or even an adequate response. If laws must be passed before people get a clue then so be it.
The human race devised many forms of transportation before monopolistic oil cartels marginalized competitive technologies. Now as the greed of market speculators needlessly drive the price of oil higher alternative technologies appear around every corner.
Family farms and indigenous peoples increasingly publicly resist the will of multinational corporations and keep their environments intact rather than allow despoiling it during the destructive extraction of a single resource.
I find it easy to fit all this under the umbrella of peace but this shows my bias. Actually, I believe that any of these could provide an umbrella for the others. Each aspect must shelter the others just as each is sheltered by the rest all together.
The mutual interdependency and support provided by the complex tapestry of life on Earth cannot be denied. The wasteful destruction of life for no moral, necessary or appropriate purpose has become a mindless luxury no amount of affluence can afford.
Life is life.
Thinking that the lives within the rain forest, domestic animals or human beings on the other side of the globe somehow count for less than hubris, arrogance and ostentatious displays of conspicuous affluence is horribly monstrously flawed.
Unconscionable destruction and waste of life impoverishes us all.

I am passionate about creating peace because I love my family and friends. I come from a musical, honest, and tough loving family. I was born in the snow-belt and grown on a dairy farm, I have a soft spot for the smell of manure ?
Seven years ago I caught the biodiesel bug from my Dad. I haven’t stopped researching sustainability since then.
My purpose in life has become to spread the message
I am now an ‘eco-publicist’, working to build the bridges and bring sustainability mainstream. I have worked with films like ‘Freedom Fuels’ (Willies in it ?), ‘Justicia Now’, and now ‘Ecosutra: Bridging Industry to Permaculture’.
I have chosen art for peace because I realized that through song and film people get the message. Until now I simply sang in the shower and to entertain a few friends, not at the same time of course.. It wasn’t until I learned about the Yasuni that I swallowed me fear and stood up to sing, and tell the whole world.
Mother Teresa would attend a peace rally, but not a protest. In other words ‘Stop bitching, start a revolution.’
Courageous leadership in Ecuador is working to leave their oil in the ground! Under the Yasuni National Rainforest lies One Billion Barrells of Oil. The Yasuni is home to ancient isolated indigenous tribes threatened by this drilling. Ecuador has offered to sacrifice 50% of projected revenues to Save the Yasuni and the people that call it home.
Speak up and show your support! (Visit my blog)
Our boys are dying for oil.
Meanwhile petroleum based fertilizers, skin care products, and toxic emissions are killing us slowly right here at home. It’s about time we put an end to this mess.
The opportunities and solutions are like ripe fruits, waiting to be picked.
Climate change, oil wars, and failing ecosystems, this effects us all.
We only have one planet.
We may not agree on much, but we all agree that we need our earth to survive.
When we share this common vision, peace has a chance. We are all family, it’s about time we started acting like it.
Through song and as a community, anything is possible. We can turn this thing around!
‘We can be the most positive element on this earth and we are not stuck in the mode of being the most negative, our children need to know this’ –Permaculturist, Geoff Lawton.
New jobs, healthier lifestyles, happy farmers, and a home for our grandchildren; wouldn’t that be nice?! Tell your local leaders that the renewable energy solutions are here. Stand up and implement!
Buy local, buy organic, vote with your pennies, and watch your town bloom.
Connect and redirect, the course of the world. Who is sailing this ship anyway?!

Kristina I was curious if you were proud of your father that screws american businesses? Putting Americans out of work???

Yes Monica, I am very proud of my Father and I am proud to carry the Fitzsimmons name.
My Father is an American business owner and tries hard to employ his fellow Americans. He risked everything to bring biodiesel to the for front… It’s a struggle to get our country on the right track. Many have suffered and are still working tirelessly for the solutions, for America and beyond. I praise them and encourage them to keep moving forward!
Where does your hatred come from? What are you doing to help?
I encourage to redirect your energy into doing something positive in the future, for the sake of our future.
Let me know if I can help luv.
xo,
Kristina
