Kelly lends her full mellow voice to her a cappella version of “A Peaceful Solution.” Everyone who has followed her for any length of time knows how she has grown and developed as a vocalist.
Anyone who has labored to bring out a talent or skill appreciates the fact that people can change dramatically. Many who have witnessed such work have been surprised and amazed at the wholesale degree of change people are capable of.
I mention this point that Kelly so perfectly demonstrates because it seems that people’s ability to change is the question of the century.
More specifically, it seems that the ability and willingness of We The People Of The United States Of America to change is the question of the century.
The multinational cartels make huge profits on selling us a lifestyle that dooms us to catastrophe and destruction. It is impossible to continuously consume resources faster than they can be replenished.
Just do the math.
It is just as obvious that we not only share this planet with many other forms of life but that we also need and depend upon them for our very existence. To wholesale drive countless species to extinction reduces our capacity to survive and the quality of our existence.
The industrial agribusiness practices of routinely and regularly abusing domestic livestock demonstrates a lack of respect for the very lives we depend upon.
We must intentionally change or a very painful change will be forced upon us.
We can use the remaining oil reserves to build post-petroleum local economies or we can use them to run us into a wall at high speed.
We can learn to live in balance with the sources of life on this planet or continue our arrogant ways to our inevitably lonely death and destruction.
Musicians and other artists know first hand of the human capacity to change. This capacity is not limited to musicians and other artists. They know well of the sacrifices and rewards that come with the pursuit of intentional change.
This is knowledge the rest of America needs to wake up and embrace.
The choice is yours as individuals.
You can trust the powers that be until you find yourself without a place to live or the means to support yourself.
Or you can believe in your powers to intentional change to not only improve the quality of your life but also the lives of all those around you and those who will come after you.
If We The People Of The United States Of America change then our leadership would change and the world could become a better place for all life.
“There is a peaceful solution.
“It’s called a peace revolution.
“Now let’s take back America.”
* * * * * Artist’s Statement * * * * *
Why are you passionate about creating peace?
Because I think it’s very important and I don’t want that my grandchildren later ask me about what peace really is and what it means.
How long have you been working for peace?
For a long time, because when I’m at school you get every day something that has to do with peace.
What motivates you to work for peace and the environment?
Projects that countries do to help people, and even projects on youtube like this one.
Why have you chosen the path of Art for Peace?
To create even more peace than there is because it always can be better.
What are your ideas for peaceful solutions?
People need to accept people for who they are and what they do.
No more wars, these countries can talk about it and come to a solution.
