Turning Disaster Into Opportunity

Nature Bats Last

Ronald Reagan said on the first of day of taking office that government was the problem. Subsequent administrations did their best to weaken those elements of government which were at one time tasked with the regulation of corporations and financiers.

The continual weakening of government removed the checks on corporate and investor greed.

Wall Street now gives the Democrats more contributions than Republicans. Tax payers are bailing out banks, brokerages, investment banks and insurance companies. Read this Wall Street Journal article by Mr. Gigot the Journal’s editorial page editor.

Democrats represent fascism and theocracy in Birkenstocks, while Republicans represent fascism and theocracy in jackboots.

I don’t throw words like fascism around lightly.

Benito Mussolini wrote the definition of fascism for the Italian Encyclopedia and asserted that fascism should more properly be called corporatism. He ruled a police state government by propaganda for the benefit of Big Business and the banks.

I hope this is sounding familiar.

All the top people in the three branches of governments are multi-millionaires at least. If you aren’t at least a multi-millionaire then they don’t represent you.

They are restructuring society to guarantee their comfortable survival through the apocalyptic times to come.

The sad fact is that things are going to get a whole lot worse before our leaders act to our benefit. If you wait on them you seal your fate and it isn’t pretty.

It all comes down to personal choices.

People can take control over their own lives by taking control over the land needed to feed themselves.

Watch the current system fail while we network communities that grow their own food, build our own shelters, make our own clothing, school our own children, trade freely with each other with harm to none, and carefully surround ourselves with forests, wildlife preserves and open space.

  • grow backyard gardens
  • meet and organize your neighbors to do likewise
  • form trading coops and local enterprises
  • share your skills and lessons learned with adjacent communities

The corporate military-security state that the United States of America has become will do everything, and I mean everything, in their power to stop this. They have the guns so there is no point in challenging them on that ground.

Be prepared.

The entrenched bureaucracies seek to preserve their positions and benefits with new and greater taxes. Do not hold the illusion that they will protect you. Observe your own steady and irreversible descent into poverty.

Be prepared.

Our government, military, and the wealthy elite support each other. They will soon become nothing but predators upon all the rest of us, terrorizing us with mercenary armies like Blackwater when we step out of line, “disappearing” us to detention camps and worse.

A peaceful revolution is the only solution.

All the while a glib rhetorical facade of “democracy” will pacify the more docile among us as a pool of cheap labor, made ever cheaper by rising unemployment and destitution as the only alternative.

Be prepared.

This is your opportunity.

Instead of moving to direct confrontation make a peaceful resolution. There are positive peaceful things you can do to build a better, peaceful and sustainable life.

Become a farmer.

Farmers have been reduced to about 2 percent of the United States population. This has been the true impoverishment of the United States of America.

When we lost control of our food to the industrial farms of big agribusiness we became wage slaves to multinational corporations.

Support local farmers and you support your future food supply.
