Get our troops out while we can. If the Sunni guerrillas isolate Baghdad from the rest of the country there is a very real possibility that our troops could be trapped. Our troops need the roads to withdraw and their exits are being reduced every day. The U.S. military does not have enough helicopters and planes to safely take our soldiers out of danger. We are in danger of losing our entire military force. This is an unacceptable and preventable tragedy in the making.
On top of that if Bush bombs Iran, the response of the Shia militias who control the roads in the south of Iraq combined with an Iranian retaliation will dwarf the Sunni onslaught on our troops. If we care about our soldiers, it is time to get them out.
Look what happened in Vietnam. When the U.S. began scaling back the North Vietnamese kept coming hard. When Saigon was invaded the U.S. retreated to the Embassy and barely escaped. The Vietnamese that were helping the Americans did not escape. They were killed.
Moral is low and the soldiers are not receiving help from any Iraqi national force because Iraq doesn’t have one. The surge has not improved security in Baghdad as was the chief aim of more troops being sent. Why are we permitting this atrocity to continue? How many reasons does one need to stop these acts of terror in our name?
Bush and Cheney pretend to speak for me as part of the American public. They are doing their immoral acts in our name. It’s time to end this killing now. Bring the troops home.

Get our troops out by helping them win this war. The surge is working and moral is not low.
Truth is in the eye of the beholder. Anybody can link numerous reports of success or failure in Iraq. I encourage everybody to research this war and not just accept the first report that comes up.
I agree the war hasn’t gone smoothly, but when have a few bumps in the road made you turn away on a challenge. This is going to be an issue with America for several years to come whether we stay or leave. America is making a difference, be critical, demand success, have faith.
