An educated populace will know they should not fear those in power, but instead feel it their responsibility to hold them accountable. Willie -”Peaceful Solutions” is the best idea for using the arts to end this war & occupation. Thnaks, Willie.I only hope some one collects and catalogs ALL the “protest songs” written and sung during these traumatic times. Pete Seeger, Woody & Arlo Guthrie, Peter, Paul & Mary, Bob Dylan, Richie Havens, Leonard Cohen, Phil Ochs, etal are classics which still resonate along with the Dixie Chicks, Melissa Ethridge, the “I’M takin’ my Coiuntry Back” singer (whoae name I can’t recall at the moment). Thanks for all your “active vocalism” for worthy causes like Farm Aid. Thanks too for long-supporting “medical cannabis.” I think we can use another “MOUNT rUSh-more” (or “More-RUSH,” except for Limbaugh!). That’s all. Now back to my less melodic blogging, phone calls, letters, etal in search of “peaceful solutions.” Warmest regards to you and Amy.
