So here we go folks let’s keep passing this message of peace along to all. We can create the world we want if we work together. Peace is a reality.

  1. Wow - was he high when he thought this up. What a waste of talent. I remember back when he could write more than a merry go round of the same words over and over.

  3. I hope more people will use Willies song “A Peaceful Solution” and create their own videos. Mikes crass comment above does raise a important fact, it is nessasary to repeat these words over and over again.

Unfortunately, people have been bombarded with the same pro war words and fear mongering over and over again for years. What is worse, is that lies have been repeated over and over again to get us into the war with Iraq. Started by the president and repeated by his administration and the parroting national press have continued to pass lies on as facts. We must speak out and use whatever means available. Lives do depend on it.

  4. You can’t tell he’s high as a kite and this is kiddie jibberish ? Hell - you can’t even spell. Smokin’ the drapes yourself ?

Tell the families of the 9/11 victims and the families of Sadaam’s victims about fear mongering.

There is not a single member of the Armed forces that is not a volunteer, sir. If you don’t stand behind them, go ahead and stand in front of them.

Hopefully Hilary wins in ‘08 and she can finally be president again.

  5. I’m one of those veterans, sir. My lack of spelling ability is do to my American education. Thats one reason why I ended up in the Military as a volunteer, And I can tell you that we did not join to go to war for pack of lies.

  6. Maybe you could go to school in Iraq ?

  7. And the lies go deep. How deep is still being uncovered. It is premature to assume you know who created the 9/11 victims. Patriots Question 911 is a place 9/11 survivors raise questions that deserve answers.

Then read this from an angry soldier.

Mike, please consider that standing behind the Armed Forces may mean bringing them home sooner rather than later.

And since every one of your posts contain a personal attack please consider cleaning up your act or posting elsewhere.

  8. I just meant to say in post #1 that Mr Nelson has shown for years that he has the talent to take you to the time and place he speaks of in song - I have been a huge fan of his for years. Just a little disappointed I guess with the sparse nature and the subject matter of this item. The second poster attacked me as “crass”, so , being human, I resorted to an insult. For those, I apologize to he and Mr Nelson.
The Iraq war seemed right to me at it’s inception, as the people there were living under tyranny - and I still think the WMD were there and removed to Syria before we got there - it is my right to believe that. Now it seems that they want us gone, but it seems our leaders feel a responsibility to stay and restore order, which may never happen. A real dilemma.
To suggest that anyone other than Bin Laden was behind 9/11 - to me is ludicrous. A world filled with peace would be a wonderful thing, and I truly believe that as a Christian -but I do not see an easy way for that to happen. We have numerous issues($4 a gallon gas, big corporations mistreating workers, health care, homeless, unemployed, gangs running rampant ,major drug problems- unspeakable crimes against children) in this country - it seems to me perhaps we should have started in our own back yard rather than the middle East.

  9. Thank you Mike for taking the time to explain. I appreciate your sentiment.

It is often difficult with only the written word to insure that our intent is clearly communicated. I have often been on one side or the other of a simple misunderstanding based upon a too brief message.

While it has been established that Bin Laden financed a terrorist group to hijack airplanes and fly them in to the WTC, I am not convinced that they actually had it together to the point where they could have pulled it off by themselves. Beyond their dubious skill level there is the unsettling manner in which the 2 main towers and building 7 collapsed. The website I mentioned in my previous post is not like the conspiracy sites that fling wild accusations with little substance. It is site where credible people ask that obvious questions be answered.

I believe there are many unanswered questions concerning 9/11. It has been proven that the incident that got the U.S. involved in the Spanish-American War, the sinking of the Maine, was not as reported at the time. It has also been proven that the incident that escalated the U.S. into the Vietnam War, the Gulf of Tonkin incident, never really happened. It is with this knowledge of history that cautions me to not believe everything the mainstream media presents as the official line.

I certainly do agree with your closing statement. I also believe that we should have started in our own back yard.

  10. When my kids are not safe in my front yard in a small town in the central USA - something is very wrong here as well. We need more serious punishment for crimes against children. What kind of world will we live in in 20 years ?

On the subject of the twin towers, I find it hard to believe that anyone inside the US , unless it was an Al Quaeda operative , may have planted bombs in the lower levels.
I know there have been a few far out ideas (Charlie Sheen????) that suggest the US govt did it all……but that really makes no sense whatsoever. They couldn’t possibly keep everyone quiet forever. Kind of like the JFK thing, and Martin Luther King - conspiracy makes for great press and sensationalism - but in the end it looks as if one lone whack job pulled the trigger in both cases. ( however , I never did buy the story even as a 3rd grader that Ruby did what he did out of love of Kennedy - he was trying to shut Oswald up) Boy did my teacher freak out when I told her that.

  11. There is plenty of evidence that points to a false flag operation. They found the passport of one of the highjackers on the ground near the twin towers. Come on! Who would believe that a passport could survive going through a building at 500 miles an hour then being blown up 180 stories in the air, then survive the towers falling in on themselves.

Then you look at the pictures of the steal frame of the twin towers, they clearly show that they were burned through. Not at the 180 floor, rather below ground level. And there is building 7. Falling down. Not from being hit by a plane but from fire? The fire was small and no steal building has ever colapsed from fire so completeley and the building dropped like a controlled demo. There is just too many things that point to a false flag op.

Then you have to ask yourself why? Well, what was in those buildings? The Enron investigation documents, thats what! Poof, gone in less than 7 seconds. how nice for George Bush and Dick Cheney for the evidence of there largest supporter to be destroyed. And they get to start a perpetual war for our safety to boot? I just don’t buy the story that some guy in a cave in afghanistan could pull this off.

  12. yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeah - Bush & Cheney wiped out the WTC complex to help out the Enron boys - who got sent up the river anyway. (I suppose They gave the one guy a heart attack too so he dodn’t have to do his time?) And there are no folks willing to talk to pin it on them and no Democrats that would jump all over this and try to hand Bush and Cheney for it.

    Pretty thin,man.Pretty thin.

  13. No, they wiped out the evidence that would expose them for they participation in rigging erron and the rest of of the energy market to among other things get Arnold into the govenorship in California. They couldn’t care less who has to go up river as long as it isn’t them. As for Democrats, they are no different than Republicans. They all own stock and receive financial donations for their elections from the same corporations. A vicious little club that dose not include you or anyone that thinks their vote counts for anything.

  14. Hey Mike: take a good look at your own May 26th letter. You are obviously in no position to criticize someone else’s English if you don’t understand the proper use of pronouns (he/him) or the difference between “it’s” and “its”

Why don’t you pull your head out of whatever smelly orifice it is stuck in and take a fresh breath? You might be less inclined to throw all that shit around.

  15. Gordon is an obvious wack job and you,Stuart, can kiss my “Stuart”.

All you boys have a nice little doobie and kiss each other good night now.

  16. Hey Stuart, Gordon and Mike,
If we want to create peace in this world it starts with each one of us. I don’t think personal attacks bring us any closer to solving the serious situations in this world.

Might I suggest everyone back up and consider that Willie’s site is a place to discuss peaceful solutions and not a place to start wars?

I hope we can learn to see past our differences and find some common ground to begin a friendly dialogue.

Forgiveness might be a good first step. To hold a grudge is like taking poison hoping the other person falls over dead.

Let’s move beyond the predictable agro behavior. Is this possible?

You might try a little compassion and respect for other peoples’ points of view. If three people can not deal with each other in a peaceful manner what hope can we have for the world?

Peace starts here and now. One to one. Let’s show a good example. This is a public web site.

You guys have to have something in common. I’d like to see some posts here that show you reaching out and establishing some common ground. If you have to agree to have different opinions that is no reason to make it personal.

May I invite you to go listen to some of the music on the site and read some of the posts regarding what this venue is about?

  17. Thank you Liz - your post is common sense and unbiased. I think Gordon and I were starting to converse a little better when Stuart came in from the blue and attacked me with his foul tone.
I have a brother who was in Viet Nam , and he once in a conversation , in talking about someone we knew said “He’s definitely a wierd F_ _ _ er, but I would lay down my life to defend his right to be one”
To me that says a lot about what this country was supposed to be all about.
I guess people too easliy resort to the side of the defensive mud-slinging side when not in agreement with others.

As far as common ground - I would guess we all enjoy Willie Nelson’s music or we wouldn’t have found this link - right gentlemen ?

  18. By the way ,Stuart -,I do believe my grammar was correct -I don’t think to use “him and Mr. Nelson” sounds right. Sounds like poor English. I also believe using “it’s” was correct as it shows the posessive of “it” . Am I wrong ?

  19. Liz, why don’t you remove posts that contradic the mission of the site? Peace takes courage to debate the issues while respecting the other person. But personal accusations and inflamatory or dorogatory remarks have no place here. I didn’t call Mike a durogatory name, and until now just let it go. But he is agravating people here to pick a fight and I’m not biting.

If you want to promote peace and debate how to get there, great. But, if you want to start and verbal brawl count me out. I don’t have the time to debate anyone who can’t defend themselves without attacking the other person. It’s not worth the energy. So, deside what kind of speech you allow in here or be ready to have littered with ignorant text.

  20. Yes Liz - please remove all my posts - as it is obvious that those who post the most here, obviously cannot handle any view point other than their own.

Gordon - I thought we were on a course to a realistic discussion with opposing opinions untill this Stuart guy comes in and gets insulting with me. I admit I was a little rough on the first few passes, but we did start to have a reasonable argument. If that is picking a fight, so be it.

All you folks that agree with each other have fun agreeing. There is no opinion but the liberal left that is correct in your eyes ! I am done with you folks as well.

  23. Samsara Sarah Says:

Wow…a web site devoted to peace and the first guy slams the whole starting point. I can’t contribute except to say that “Only Virtue gives good Karma, and Compassion is the highest Virtue.” So it is with compassion and a loving heart that I ask to PLEASE end the grammar dispute (as a springboard to a plea to interact peacefully)??

You said “apologoze to he and Mr. Nelson.” In this case, the “he” is placed as the object of the preposition “to” and therefore, the objective form of the pronoun must be used, “him”. Just because it doesnt’ SOUND right doesn’t mean it isn’t right. (A good rule of thumb is to replace the pronoun you want to use with “I”–you wouldn’t say, for example, “he apologized to “I” and Mr. Nelson. “I” is the subjective form of that pronoun, FYI. It’s a good little trick when you get confused.)

And the “it’s/its” controversy?? Well, there was no possession indicated there. “Its” is correct.

NOW…how about that Christian attitude? This is something that I think pertains, especially, and interests me. I see many self-proclaimed Christians fall short on the “larger” belief structures of the religion, such as, “Love thy neighbor.” I would jsut like to pose to Mike that in automatically “resorting” to an insult in response to a response you did not care for, shouldn’t we perhaps “turn the other cheek,” and serve as examples to other Christians and the world at large? To actually LIVE by our beliefs and be guided by them in our daily interactions?? Isn’t THAT how Jesus said we would have peace?

If we can’t act lovingly, and perhaps a little more like grown-ups on a web site–how do we expect to end war?? We slam each other’s knowledge of grammar to PROVE OUR POINTS??? Oh well, it’s not about grammar…but sometimes I guess it is. (I just happen to know a fair amount about it, and I saw it as an “in” to discussing the nature of these types of internet disputes.) I think the internet really brings this out in us. I see so much of it and I think it only makes us mean and small. You are not alone, Mike. I’ve done it, too, and I hate it. I’m really trying to NOT lash out at people who are slamming me. This is not an indictment of you in particular…It is a cry to US, to try to do better, to try to get along, to not always make everything into “us vs. them,” so that one day we might REACH the Peace goal. We seem pretty far from it at this point.

Disclaimer!!! I am a horrible typist. I know I make typos!! But I did have a point about getting along together…
